Liberty Announces signing of Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with MIT LL

Vancouver, B.C. – December 21, 2018 – Liberty Defense Holdings Inc. (“Liberty” or LDH) is pleased to announce the signing of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory (MIT LL).

Liberty Defense is pleased to announce the completion of the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with MIT LL. As part of the commercialization and go-to-market strategy, LDH has identified technology enhancements required to make a commercial product and have entered into the CRADA agreement with MIT LL to leverage off their expertise and experience to accelerate the development of the product.

COO Aman Bhardwaj commented, “One of the key success criteria for any new technology is to determine how the technology will work with the real-world constraints (environment, concept of operations, regulatory etc.). Our team has spent significant time talking to security teams, security integrators, FCC consultants, and test labs to understand these constraints and make the necessary technology enhancements to commercialize the product. The CRADA with MIT LL is a critical part of this effort and we are very excited to work with MIT LL to make the necessary enhancements to the active 3D imaging system.”

CEO Bill Riker commented, “The implementation of this CRDA is representative of the outstanding dedication to the threat detection mission that our business is pursuing. Through this CRADA, we are drawing upon the world-renowned expertise of MIT LL cadre to build on the technology that we licensed to bring this critical capability to the urban security environment.”
